Building a school & a safe-house to children in Bali.
We are so excited to announce that from July 12th 2021 onwards, we will be donating to the incredible organization Bali Street Moms & Kids Org.
Bali Street Mums & Kids Org is a non-profit organization stablished and operating in Bali. They are helping end the cycle of poverty for vulnerable children and mothers.
2% of your purchase will go towards Bali Street Mums Org, helping to fund a new safe house and school for over 40 children and mothers.
The JAAGO Foundation aims to use education as a weapon to break through the cycle of poverty, creating opportunities for income, growth and sustainable development. At present JAAGO is educating 13,000 students in 11 districts across Bangladesh. The Free Of Cost School Program reaches 3,500 underprivileged children across 12 schools in Bangladesh.
The Challenge:
Lack of quality education is a primary factor preventing poverty stricken families from opportunities of growth. Without quality education, the underprivileged are unable to unlock their full potential and end up begging on the streets.
The Solution:
By providing a standard of education that addresses curriculum often lacking in Bangladesh's education system (STEM programs) with qualified teachers through a holistic approach, children can become well rounded, independent individuals.
With only $9 USD, we will prove 2 backpacks filled with school supplies to 2 students for 1 year. The more we give, the bigger the impact!
Thank you for joining us!

2 YEARS OF BONITO JEWELRY - JUNE 2019
Bonito turned 2 years old and we want to celebrate by giving back!
5% of every purchase you make this weekend will help educate 200 War & HIV/AIDS-Orphaned Ugandan Girls.
The Challenge:
200 Ugandan girls in Lira district lack access to education, are engaged in exploitative work conditions and conduct transactional sex for a livelihood. Some of them are heads of their households and child mothers.
The Solution
They will be withdrawn from exploitative work and provided with education, lunch, school supplies, and vocational start up kits. Counseling support, school and home visits and basic health care will be offered as well.
YOU SHOP, WE PLANT
At Bonito, we are grateful for the growth of our business and we believe that we are responsible for sharing our success!
Most of Bonito's team is based in Sydney, Australia, and given the terrible bushfires that are currently happening, we wanted to find a way to help this beautiful land.
We have decided to partner with Onetreeplanted.org to help restore the natural habitat of NSW's wildlife.
From the 10th of January 2020 to the 13th of February, we planted a native tree in Australia for every purchase you made. We plated in total 601 trees! Thank you for supporting our project and our business!
At the moment, our amazing partners in Australia are focusing their attention on managing and mitigating the fires at hand, protecting people's properties, and assessing the environmental and community impacts. However, in due time, they will need plenty of support to restore this landscape back to health. Once the fires have settled and the land is ready to take on new trees, our partners are forecasting to restore over 6 million trees across Australia in 2020.
While trees for this project will not go in the ground until the fires have ended and the soil repaired, by supporting this project now you are making sure our partners in Australia are ready to hit the ground running and repair this beautiful and iconic landscape.
Our standard giving back program is focused on education. For every $100 you shop, we give a backpack with school supplies to a child in need. Every quarter we go to a different destination to donate backpacks with school supplies and support communities around the world.

we want to help women look good while doing good.
For every $100 you shop of Bonito Jewelry, a backpack with school supplies is donated to a child in need.
Every quarter our team travels to a different destination in the world to donate the backpacks.
In September 2019, we visited Brazil and donated hundreds of backpacks to chidren at the NGO Sementes do Amanha.
Sementes do Amanha ("seeds for tomorrow") is a NGO that hosts a day care for children facing difficulties in their social and economic backgrounds.
Most of the children don't have access at home to complete nutrition, or a safe environment.
During the hours spent at Sementes do Amanha, the children have three complete meals, they learn about wholesome subjects, such as gardening, reading & writing, amongst other activities. The NGO provides them with a safe environment where they are taken care of and have their basic rights respected.
Diego Odakura founded Sementes do Amanhã when he was only 12 years old, inviting children from the streets to come spend the day at his grandmother's home.
Now, 13 years later, Diego works full time at his NGO, and takes care of over 180 children. He relies on monthly donations and programs like Bonito's to help fund supplies to keep the NGO functioning.
Sustainability is at the core of Bonito's values and actions. Our packaging is 90% sustainable, with its parts being either recycled, recyclable or compostable.
The backpacks are an introduction to sustainability to the children. During the day we spent with the NGO, we spoke about the importance of nature, why every material inside the backpack is reusable and plastic-free, and what actions they can take to help the environment.
Before our visit, most of the children at Sementes do Amanha haven't heard once about the sustainability!
Julia Sousa, founder of Bonito Jewelry, is originally from Brazil. She always wanted to find an opportunity to help her country, so we decided that our second donation's trip in 2019 would be to Brazil.
Bonito Jewelry donated over 300 backpacks in one day to Sementes do Amanhã, that means that every child there received a backpack with school supplies. Additionally, the extra 120 backpacks were distributed to two partner NGO's: Abrigo Nossa Familia and Casa Tia Marly, both located in São Paulo.
We believe the most effective way to improve the present and the future is through education. We are starting with basic school supplies, but that's just the beginning, our goal is create a much bigger impact!
