Bonito turned 2 years old in June, and what a journey it has been. Julia first started Bonito Jewelry when she was living in Bali, volunteering for the Green School (do yourself a favor and check out their website, it's a dreamy place for children).
On a sunny day in May 2019, she went for a scooter ride in the village of Celuk to visit local jewelers. She ended up meeting Made, owner of a beautiful family-owned jewelry workshop. After some sketches and samples, she found herself with a small collection of hand-crafted jewelry and the start of Bonito!

2 years in and we have sold over 14 000 pieces of jewelry to women around the world and donated over 1500 backpacks with school supplies to children in Lombok and Sao Paulo.

We are hyper-focused in becoming a better company every day. Giving back is at the core of our business, and we wanted to celebrate this milestone with you.

During the weekend sale of the 4th and 5th of July, we donated 5% of every purchase to help educate 200 War and HIV/AIDS-Orphaned Ugandan Girls. We were able to provide an entire year of school supplies to 14 girls!
